ICLAC Researcher Participates in Celebration for Chinese Language Day at Ñuble High School

On April 24th, ICLAC Associate Researcher María Elvira Ríos represented the nucleus at the celebration of Chinese Language Day, organized by the Bicentennial High School of Excellence San Nicolás, located in the Ñuble region.

The celebration included various cultural activities performed by students of the educational institution, a classical music quintet from the school, and the presentation of HSK certificates (standardized Chinese language proficiency tests).

This invitation is part of a cooperative relationship between ICLAC, the San Nicolás High School, and the Ñuble Chinese Teaching Network:

“This high school is nationally recognized for its unique and admired educational strategy, which many school directors look up to. ICLAC and the Ñuble Chinese Teaching Network have already started a collaborative relationship, and we will continue working to strengthen ties with educational institutions in the region,” says Elvira.

The event also featured the participation of Liu Wenqiu, Cultural Counselor at the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Chile; Elena Gu, Academic Director of the Confucius Institute at UC; as well as authorities from the San Nicolás High School.

“We are very grateful to the language coordinator, Luis Ramos; the entire high school team; and of course, to its director, Víctor Reyes,” the researcher noted.
