Abstract: Analysis of the work "Let's Talk About New China" (1953), by the Chilean historian and feminist Olga Poblete (1908 1999), to understand how the People's Republic of China (PRC) could project a positive image of itself into actors in the international intellectual field. The research article addresses Poblete's career and peace activism, the trip she made to China within the framework of the cultural diplomacy of the PRC, and how she presents the country in the aforementioned work. To conclude, it is argued that the publication of the book can be considered a successful case of the cultural diplomacy of the Asian country.
