Impacts of China in Latin America and the Caribbean

Millennium Nucleus ICLAC

The Millennium Nucleus on the Impacts of China in Latin America and the Caribbean is an interdisciplinary proposal that seeks to address one of the greatest foreign policy and sustainable development challenges facing developing countries: China, and its rise as a main economic partner and the concomitant increase in its political influence on the political agendas of these countries.

The main purpose of the Nucleus is to delve into the political consequences that China's capital boom has had in Latin America over the last twenty years, considering the cultural and socioeconomic dimensions.

The Millennium Nucleus ICLAC is funded by the Millennium Science Initiative of the National Research and Development Agency (ANID) and is hosted by the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, Diego Portales University, University of Chile, Catholic University of the North, and University of Tarapacá.
