The conference organized by the International Association for Media and Communication Research (IAMCR) focused on the theme of ‘Challenges for Media and Communication in a Hyperconnected Digital World’ and was held from July 9 to 13 in Lyon, France.
Claudia Labarca, principal researcher at the Millenium Nucleus ICLAC, presented her work Framing China in Chile: A study of Op-Eds on China in Chilean media (Jan 2018 – Aug 2021), research carried out together with María Montt (ICLAC / UC) and Ingrid Bachmann (UC) and Framing military incompetence: An examination of media coverage of the Milicogate scandal in Chile, research carried out together with Ingrid Bachmann (UC).
The IAMCR is an international organization for studies in the field of communication and media, with more than 2,800 active members in 90 cities around the world. The conference in which our researcher participated brought together researchers from different countries with work focused on various areas such as climate change, journalism, and the media.
