Profesor titular, actual director del Instituto de Geografía de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, y parte del Consejo Directivo del Centro de Estudios Asiáticos UC.
Johannes is a graduate in Geography and holds a PhD (Dr. Oec. Publ) from the University of Munich, Germany (Ludwig – Maximilians Universität München).
His areas of research include Economic Geography, Asian Studies, and Urban Sustainable Development.
