This article explores how China is represented in Chile through a case study: 71 students with a postgraduate degree in business, between 2018 and 2022. Based on an adaptation of the DAST methodology, participants were asked to draw China, without further instructions, which allowed identifying the main representations about that country of Chilean students of a postgraduate degree in business. The results show that students represent China from traditional historical dimensions. Despite the growing and broader economic exchange between the two countries, essentialist ideas of China as other, formulated from a market dimension, prevail.
