Doctorate student in History at the Pontificia Universidad Católica Chile, Master in World History and Chinese Studies from the Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona), Graduate in Humanities from the Pompeu Fabra University.
Areas of specialization: Modern and contemporary history of China and Central Asia; perceptions of China and Chineseness in European sources; European travel and travelers to China; and history of relations between China and Latin America.
He currently researches relations between China and Colombia during the Cold War (1949 – 1990).
