Research areas: Chinese investment in urban spaces and Chinese malls.
Experience at ICLAC:
– Data analysis and georeferencing of Chinese foreign direct investment for the Investment Map, under the supervision of Professor Francisco Urdinez.
– Participation in salmon farming and lithium case reports, directed by Professor Johannes Rehner.
– Development of an Alliance Map for the Millennium Nucleus.
Current projects:
– Development of a map of Chinese malls in the Metropolitan Region.
– Collaboration with Professor Carol Chan and her team in research on Chinese malls.
– Thesis student for FONDECYT project 1241683: "Actors, practices and impacts of the geographies of urban financialization in Chile" (directed by Professor Luis Fuentes, with co-supervision by Professor Francisco Urdinez). Within this framework, she investigates the expansion, typology and production mechanisms of Chinese malls in Greater Santiago (2014-2024).
