Ignacio Tornero is a lawyer/MBA and CEO and founder of the business and legal consultancy East Consulting. He has over 10 years of experience advising Asian companies investing in Latin America and Latin American companies doing business in Asia. Before founding East Consulting, Tornero helped Chile's largest law firm establish a presence in China.
He is an adjunct professor at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, affiliated professor at its Center for International Studies (CEIUC), and member of its Center for Asian Studies (CEAUC). He is an associate researcher of the China, Law and Development (CLD) project at Oxford University. He also serves on the advisory committee of the Latin American Center at Tsinghua University.
His main research area is Chinese foreign direct investment in Latin America.
