Thesis: It focuses on the role played by the People's Republic of China (PRC) as a key player in the financing, construction and investment of renewable energy, with a specific focus on developing countries such as Chile and Ecuador. The study aims to understand the mechanisms that the PRC uses to cooperate and invest in the development and operation of renewable energy infrastructure and whether this dynamic is part of a new model of cooperation in which the countries of the Global South could sustain more complementary relationships that allow them to achieve common goals, especially in terms of an energy transition.
