ICLAC Researcher Concludes Academic Stay at Fudan University

Between December 8 and January 10, Diego Telias, ICLAC associate researcher and deputy director of the Department of International Studies at Universidad ORT Uruguay, carried out a successful Visiting Scholar en la Fudan University stay at Fudan University in Shanghai. The visit took place within the framework of the FLAUC Fellow Program, an initiative designed to promote academic exchange and the construction of global knowledge networks, which includes Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and Universidad de Chile through the FLAUC Consortium.

During his time at the Fudan Development Institute, Telias delivered a seminar focused on his doctoral research and participated as a guest in the "Second International Symposium on the Indian Ocean", organized by the Institute of International Studies at the same institution. His agenda also included activities at the School of International Relations and Public Affairs, School of International Relations and Public Affairs, a world-renowned center in the discipline.

The stay extended beyond Shanghai, allowing the researcher to deepen ties with other key institutions. In Hangzhou, he was invited by Zhejiang University to present on China's relations with small countries, while in Guangdong Province, he developed an extensive cooperation agenda.

This final stage included a technical meeting with the China-LAC Technology Transfer Center at the Uruguayan Consulate in Canton, as well as academic meetings at The Chinese University of Hong Kong – Shenzhen and the Sun Yat Sen University. At the latter, the researcher taught a class at the School of International Studies and held working meetings with the Latin American Studies Center.
