Last Friday, January 12, the ICLAC Millennium Nucleus received the visit of a delegation from the Faculty of Communications of Tsinghua University (China), comprising professors, undergraduate, and graduate students. The purpose of their visit was to learn more about the different activities and research carried out by ICLAC and to establish ties of cooperation between both institutions.
Francisco Urdinez, Director of the Nucleus, had the opportunity to present to the delegation the objectives and research areas of the Nucleus, as well as the activities that were carried out during the year 2023 and future activities to be carried out.
The event was also considered a space for dialogue and exchange with Chilean and Chinese teachers and students. During this meeting, topics were discussed such as the media in Chile and its coverage of China, the perception of China in Chilean public opinion, Chinese investments and their impacts on Latin American territory, educational exchanges, and possible forms of collaboration, among others.
